Forgot to say before, Queens Park have beautiful 'dressy' dresses in lots of different sizes. I usually go to their outlet in Harbour Town (cheapskate, me!) but there are other shops in Perth too :)

This would be lovely with some bright red accessories, such as peep toe shoes and a clutch handbag. Don't know your colouring so not sure if you can wear strong colours like these? I would also think about a thin red belt if the dress isn't too empire line style. A small fsscinator would complete the look and you could go either retro (40s) or bring it bang up to date.

I like the style, but it looks too long for me :(

Name of the shop. Just checked, there's only the Harbour Town one now. I think it's worth a look though.

What do you like to wear? Style, fabric, colour?

I'm a bit partial to a mermaid costume with flashing fairy lights but it's not for everyone.

I don't find it frumpy at all. With a red lippy and red sandals that would be a great summer outfit. I may actually order that for me :)

Really! I wouldn't describe that as frumpy! Perhaps a little too casual for a mother of the groom outfit but not frumpy!

Debenhams have a sale on right now, might b worth cashing in and buying yer outfit now. This is a link to the occassional/evening wear dept.

Thanks for that SC, think I might have to make a space in my wardrobe for some of those ;)

Grey hair can look stunning, there is a woman in my pilates class that has platinum grey hair, she cuts it in a sharp bob and wears bright red lips with it. She totally owns it:thumbup: hairdressers would kill to be able to produce that shade.

Wedding fashion, Avoid the mumsy shiny satin suits they push for weddings. Get something classy, well cut, even if its expensive.

Hold colours up to your face, under a good shop light, see how your skin looks, my fave colour is green, but it makes me look ill, black also makes me look deathly, but put the right colours up and you skin and eyes pop, it sounds corny but it really works.

You look like you could carry red and as you are petite it would help you stand out too. Here are a few.
