I visited antartica 25 years ago whilst in the Navy. Sailed down through pack ice. Probabley the most memorible trip of my life. I got to camp out next to a big king penguin colony, annoy the shite out of elephant seals and just take in the most pristine enviroment on the planet. If you get the chance to go, jump at it.
