Re: I suspect......
I had a white dressing gown once... For all of three days... When I had hoppalong kid our nanny brought it for me... Bloody midwife put it in the laundry and it never came back..... But it will forever be in my mind deep, white and fluffy... Age did not grey it, nor the years make it thin....

I've now got a lovely white dressing gown - soft cuddly and warm. The red raggy one has been consigned to the under the bed drawer for when I get around to dying my hair.
Thanks MP!!!!!

We always have white towels. Result of living in houses with turquoise, pink and pampas bathrooms (3 separate bathrooms/houses). You can change towels faster than bathrooms to avoid total colour overload. Now the bathrooms are all white to match the towels.

The husband should only have black towels. I couldn't have a white towel within 20 miles of him.

Re: I suspect......
my oh is a plasterer and when he gets in from work he will run upstairs and have a quick wash ... leaving a mucky face print and hand prints on the towel, cos hes a mucky, lazy sod who cant be bothered to wash properly!!!
I do have a white fluffy dressing gown though ...

Our ensuite has terracotta towels, and the bathroom blue ones. Trouble is, I have to use so much Selleys to de mould it, that whenever they get dropped on the floor they get bleached, so they are multi coloured now!
I don't use Selleys so much now since I've discovered the miracle that is clove oil. smells much nicer than bleach too, but it is too late for the towels.
