Red bellied blacks are common place round there mate. I take my dog walking near Shelly's and see a snake probably once a fortnight... including some bloody big ones from time to time.

They are super shiny aren't they.

My dog barks his bloody head off at them when he finds one but he seems to have a basic instinct about keeping his distance from them as well.

I got a new job.... Had a decent break from work too using some of my six weeks accrued annual leave between finishing the old one and starting the new.. Feeling chilled and ready to go... No snakes in my job

we put what we call snakes through conduits to pull cables through, which is frought with danger when using existing conduits. 2 cable pits, one with a bloke pushing the snake through, and one with a bloke waiting for it to attach cables. 2nd bloke jumps out of his pit in a flash, 1st bloke not knowing why shouts 'that snake through yet?' 2nd bloke shouts back 'yeah but not the c@@t you was pushing' pure gold
