I just sold the Subway bike I got for $50 for $85.00. I reckon I could have gotten more but I just wanted it out of the garage before we move so I put a Buy It Now on it and I'm really chuffed.
Now I've just got to sell the kids clothes I've listed and my cupboards will look a lot tidier and I'll have made enough money to buy a nice pair of curtains for the new pad

I love selling on eBay. I've regularly sold on Gymboree, Pumpkin Patch, Gap etc and made a tidy profit. That's probably the only reason my OH actually doesn't go mad when I buy them so many clothes as he knows I look after them and sell on whatever I can
.

My sis sent me a suit from the UK the other day - Planet - and I tried it on... thought the trousers were a little tight, and it turns out that they were a size 10... ha ha. A few more pounds and I'll be a stick insect.

Do you list your clothes by item on ebay? I see a lot for sale in a bundle but thought you wouldn't get much that way.

Thank you honey. I have a beautiful Windsmoor suit that I can't let go of though. I'm going to have it altered because it's so beautiful.

However, if it's Next, M&S, Gap, Gymboree, Junior J etc then I usually sell it sererately. The beauty of that is that so long as you atart with low starting prices, they usually get bids, and often buyers will buy more than one item as they get the postage a bit cheaper.
It seems to work. Good luck with it

I just sold a couple of Mini Boden dresses to US Ebayers - one went for $47. Just bought one of the same Boden dresses from an Aussie Ebayer for $15 (inc postage) and just sold to the US for $45. All good fun!

OMG! That's pretty funny. I'll make sure they're available to the US then!

We recently pulled out all the carpets, underlay, an old vanity unit & a leaky dishwasher. We had a couple of people that where happy to pick them up for free, and so we would be rid of it all.
Three months later, the stuff was still here, so I put an ad on Ebay.
$250 starting price, $500 buy it now. Sold it within 5 hours for $500 !!!
The guy collected it a few days later, and was over the bloody moon with it.
Definitely made my day. I've been searching the house since for more stuff to go on ebay.

lol. Only joking.eBay here is still a way behind the UK in terms of the numbers of items available but it is still a thriving community.
As for your plan to sell everything when you get here, I'm not so sure that's wise

In terms of what I've got listed right now, the Vertbaudet item is getting a LOT of interest in terms of watchers so I might stock up on a few bits of their stuff and see how it goes.
