I just came home from a night shift took out the dog cleaned the kitchen and silly me expected it to look the same when I got up from my few hours of crap sleep. But when I stubbed my toe on a bike wheel on my way into the kitchen and found screw drivers in the sink and bike parts on the work top I thought I had been dreaming I was in a garage. AArgh still havent found the coffee and think the kettle has been turned into some sort of turbo engine for his bike. Men they're only good for one thing....

I sympathise with you!

I leave a reasonably tidy house when I go out to work. When I get home in the early hours of the morning I quite often can't put a foot down on the living room floor because he's let the kids get everything they own out. But what really gets me is after a 10 hour shift in a kitchen/catering environment I come home to a kitchen that looks like a bombs hit it & end up tidying up & loading the dishwasher at 2am in the morning.

well, if you had of stayed in the kitchen (which is where a woman should be) and have cooked some breakfast for him, he would have gladly worked on his bike somewhere else, knowing that his wife would have been cooking up a nice meal for all his hard work and effort!! all your own fault I say.

Yup very real. I gleefully participate when it comes to men vs women jokes but I do feel sorry for women who work full time and have to cope with 99% of the housework as well.

I am a stay at home husband, and I always ensure that the kitchen is exactly how my wife leaves it in the morning, nice and clear and tidy...

After all, she has to start the cooking when she gets home, therefore it's best left untouched....

and I don't want to delay dinner, as I tend to be getting hungry by the time she gets home ;)

They're all crap. Best thing to do is to spend lots of money so they have to work longer hours then they don't mess up your house. :)

All I need to do now is find something to keep the kids out too ;)

Though i don't agree about the kids - i love the kids being around and when they are not at home, i miss them, the house is too quiet! :D

OK I stand corrected not all husbands are crap. I was trying to make the OP feel better - it's what us women do (mainly when we're moaning about our crappy husbands ;) )
