If you can cast your mind back to the Boxing Day 2004 Tsunamis. Initially it was only a couple of hundred, it took quite some time (weeks) for the final (??) figure of more than 230K to surface. |

Bloody awful - poor people. More die if the tremors are overnight as more people are in their beds. Quakes that happen during the day usually mean many less dead.
This is very sad - they're in a very unfortunate part of the world. :( |

Poor bastards. Why is it that the people who tend to be lowest on the socio-economic ladder, are also the ones who get the most stick from natural disasters? :confused: :(

One of our supporters moved to Indonesia about 2 years ago to be a English Teacher..... He lives in Bogor Indonesia.... and is chatting about the situation on the Palace BBS rite now and claims there are over 3,000 dead
