Drink a litre bottle of Eldorado, or Buckfast if preferred, and proceed to lick said sticker with ones tongue. If this doesn't remove it then nothing will.

put a hair dryer on it before you start to peel it off... its a sticker with glue on it so if you heat it up the glue becomes softer and will most likely come off with the sticker... if there is any residue left you can use a thiner such as WD40...

Yes, I've tried this. Works like a dream. Spray in on, leave on for a minute or so, then it wipes right off with a clean cloth or kitchen towel. It's great for getting labels off the inside of new shoes too (a pet hate of mine...)

The cleaners in my old office used baby oil on the stainless steel lift doors to remove greasy fingermarks etc. They said that it leaves a fine film on which prevents smears and protects against future marking. I used this on my stainless steel cooker hood at home and it actually works!

Speak to a friendly nurse. A friend of ours gave us some little wipes they use to help remove sticking plaster residue etc from kids skin. Worked a treat on the glue residue left over from stickers on our firidge

WD40 or any of those spray oils. The 'best' thing if you can get it is orange oil which is available from your local supermarket in a small bottle. Soak the sticker in it and if possible peel off the outer layer to let the oil get through to the paper layer underneath. The orange oil, or WD40 clone, will loosen the glue and hey presto the sticker should peel off with no residue.

Part of my job everyday involves doing this - the secret is to leave the oil to soak in for 5-10 minutes and everything should come off beautifully!
