It's a real conumdrum because we've been working hard all year and we're having a 2-week hol in Asia soon to chill out. I'm not desperately homesick yet, so I can hang on for another while before heading home for a ceilidh. Realistically to make it worth our while (cost/time etc) we'd have to aim for 2 - 3 weeks to go back home, but that will mean a significant chunk of our A/L allowance for next year. Just curious about how often other expats get home and how you juggle your A/L situation? |

Go back to Paris every year for Bastille weekend as im part of the 2ND REP vets Legion colour party but always nip off to Ireland for a few days, been away in the Legion since i was 17, so as much as i love Ireland,the Legion is my home.Mind you Brisbane aint bad right now:D:D

I thought (before I moved out here) that I would probably go back to Europe to see people about every 2 years... now I am over here I currently really can't be arsed to go back.. don't feel like I need or want to.. :( Havent broken the news to my mother as of yet :ohmy:.. bet I cave in and go back anyway rather than face the wrath! ;)
