How many suitcases??
#1
We fly out to Perth on the 10th June, we are taking 3 large suitcases a very large holdall and a medium holdall for hubby`s tools. We leave our house on Monday for a tour of England visiting saying goodbye to relatives,Im just wondering how we are going to fit everything in the estate car we`ve hired
How many suitcases did you all take - it is just so weird seeing your life packed away!!

When we meet up with you at your hotel, we really must go over some of the funny times.
I wont say anything other than large lady with pants round her ankles in toilets in the pub.

We had three suitcases as well, plus three holdalls. One holdall with a change of clothes for the stopover, one with stuff for the kids to do on the plane etc and one with bits and bats in that didn't fit in the suitcase.
Is there anyone coming to the airport to see you off?, could they not look after your stuff and take it for you?

If its an estate car you should fit 3 suitcases and 2 hold all in.
We have a golf estate and its amazing what we have crammed in! Usually the local taxi service for visiting relatives!

Got to the airport with FIL following behind in van with all the cargo.
(9 Suitcases, Laptop, 2 Holdalls and 4 Handbags)
From the Airport = 2 trips in a large 4x4 + lots of bruised heads.

Cheers guys! You`ve made me feel a bit better
We are staying in a hotel near the airport on Sarurday night (meeting up with Prof Princess before we go on the Sunday
)I reckon it will be fun with all those bags if nothing else

How many shoes do you have?
My wife loves shoes. She filled 2 tea chest size boxes when we moved from Bangkok.

I suppose its better to do it that way as it could take ages until the container arrives and he's got his tools if he had to start work.
Thanks

6 cases, 2 car seats, 4 hand luggage, 1 double pram, 2 two-year olds and a wife to support.
Thankfully we are travelling through the US and the hire cars are roughly as big as UK articulated lorries.

How much did the airlines charge for all that extra baggage? Just wondering whether to risk putting things in a container instead!
