Question How many different jobs have you had?

You know some people believe in a 'job/trade for life' and some dont, well I was just wondering how many different career paths people have taken in their life.

Christ, Ive had too many but I wouldn't change it.
Ill start.

1. Tesco (I learned how to fold towels and stack paint)

2. Greyhound kennels - kennel maid

3. Care assistant - hospital -wards and clinics

4. Veterinary nurse

5. freelance vet journalist

6. temp - PA/Secretary

Bloody hell that seems loads to me.

Can anyone beat that?

Quite a few, but mostly in the same field (R&D)

However, worst jobs ever had are:

picking caterpillars out of peas at a cannery
sticking turkeys necks up their bums in a frozen poultry plant

(both vacation work whilst at Uni)

Two years ago.

I was brought in as a temp for their payroll department while they re-organised staffing levels in the wake of a merger with another multi-national.

Apparently the bigwigs at the top of the company had slashed their staff immediately after the merger, only to discover that they'd been a trifle over-zealous with the hatchet. As a result of this breathtaking corporate incompetence, they spent the next few months frantically employing temps to plug the gaps.

I'd been lured in with an offer of three months' work, and one week's notice in the event of my services being surplus to requirements.

The reality was four weeks' work and a brief visit from the HR manager on Thursday afternoon in which she requested that I surrender my security pass at the end of my shift on Friday, as I would not be at work on the following Monday.

C'est la vie.
