How long does it take for you to get your visa? I'm talking PR, State sponsered, you name it.....don't be clever (LOL) we all know different visas take different lengths if time............just give a bit of advice and be nice

We came over on a PR, took about 15 months from start to finish, though i did drag my feet a little bit, we could've knocked 3-4 months off that

We made the decsion to go for PR in July 06 Got all the TRA back in Nov 06 had a break over Xmas and new year. Got the final decsion in Aug 06 then validated our Visas in Dec 06 Moved to Adelaide in Jun 07. We used an agency at the most basic level, OH did the vast majority of paperwork and used the agency for advice over the phone. A lot of that time is waiting for things to come back, such as police checks, we had to apply to 3 different areas.

Took about 12 months in total to get PR visa although difficult to remember when i sent the first letter out to previous employer (no agent). Visa approved May 2007. We were surprised how quick it was, think it's taking longer now. Think it's processed quicker if your job is on the most wanted list (supposedly).

I am really sorry just read this again and got my years mixed up, sorry alcohol was involved July 05 Then Nov 05

I first contacted the agency in July'04, actually engaged them in September'04, received passport back with PR stamp in April'05. Met Aus man in Mar'05, married in Feb'06, produced Aussie boy in Nov'06 - so needn't have bothered with PR!

Ours took 6 months start to finish....
