How Hot is Hot

we hear a lot on the news about the heat wave, but the official figures on temperature are nearly always wrong. So heres the thing, we are hoping to move to oz early next year but we dont now where exactly, one of the things that will influence where we go will be the weather. We fancy Brisbane but when you read the official sites it gives you the usual load of shite. So come on you lot out there whats the true weather like where you are, in Peterborough today officialy its about 28 and sunny, the reallity is 32 and bloody warm.

Buildings are air conditioned, there are breezes depending on where you are. It gets hotter over Christmas and New Year and the humidity is high but as I say you generally get used to it and it's fine - well it is for us

OK, personal experience here - when I lived in the UK 32 degrees was HELL! i've now been in Brisbane for approaching 3 years, and my mind was still telling me that 32 deg was pretty hot. However, I'm now in Bristol in 32 degrees, and I'm the only one in the family who has any energy - my Brit relations are all wilting in the heat
Reckon I must have acclimatised.

Anything in the 20s is not considered 'hot' in Perth.
In the height of summer it'll stay in the mid to high 30s for days on end, with the odd 40º to 42º day or two.
Unlike Queensland, it's hardly ever humid though. Very dry heat.
And the sea breeze comes in every afternoon to cool you down.
I just hope the summer kicks in early this year. It took ages to kick in last year and the result was that we were plagued by bloody flies!
