It's funny because on the drive home yesterday evening I heard on the traffic news that they had closed that bridge for "a medical emergency" and I thought it was an interesting reason, as if someone had had an accident they would just say so. It all makes sense now

Did anyone watch the program last night about the young American guy who weighed up to 650lbs but turned his life around by changing his diet & exercising with the support of a personal trainer? Very interesting.

I must admit that is very odd as we are not just talking a couple of pounds!I must admit I hate having my photo taken because then I can't convince myself that I am as thin as I was but we are only talking one dress size! You would think having trouble finding clothes that fit would be a clue.

I remember in America seeing a lady on a invalid scooter with what looked like a shower curtain around her with gaps for her arms.It seems such a waste of life to get like that.Sue.

Yes, I watched that, transfixed by the amount of skin he had to have removed.

It was very interesting actually. It turned out that he was abused at age 6 & sought comfort in eating & it all just spiralled out of control. The bullying that he put up with was also very sad but it was so good that he turned it all around by his own efforts in his early 20's.
It did make wonder how many spare folds the Biggest Loser winners must have had beneath their t-shirts!

How funky is that bridge with apartments in the towers? I'd never heard of it before. Well cool. I wonder if they're noisy.

The background stuff is interesting because it helps us to understand people better but I find the scenes where they show the operation to remove the loose skin gruesome.

I noticed it some years ago and said to the Mrs, I wonder if anyone lives in there. Little did I know that it was someone the same size as the bridge

The windows on the side I saw didn't look big enough to lift the gentleman out, are they bigger on the other side?
