I think Krudd/Gillard/Goose went to the Blair/Brown school of destruction

Sadly, a hung parliament with the ecofascists in a position of power is probably enough to make free thinking people leave Aus in droves.
What exactly did Labor do that was so bad? Yes, they were far from great, but they didn't do the harm to Australian society and international reputation that Howard did. Open your eyes FFS!

Howard was a legend - one of Australia's great PMs. Rudd had no backbone and Gillard is a hard-left socialist and union puppet. Neither can be trusted.

Chillax. Do what you need to do - I don't give a shit.

People from western countries move about the world to wherever the money and opportunities take them. Some Australians move away to find better proespects for themselves, skilled immigrants replace them. Everyone's a winner.

They don't really though do they? How many of the greatest minds and most successful entrepreneurs move to Australia?

Who's the more desperate?

http://www.news.com.au/breaking-news...-1225908944312

The interesting thing will be, if either leader changes their stance on either of the policies then have they immediately let down their voters? If Abbott suddenly backs the NBN (after bashing it for several weeks) then how many of the liberal voters that were bashing NBN on this site would have changed their vote. The same would be said with Labor and the Mining Tax.

True, but he wasn't rude to anyone on the opposite side, unlike all of the LNP panelists

Don't know, don't care. I do engineering and there are a lot of very good engineers/designers moving (moved) here.

Australia is a small country on the periphery of the world - we will attract people who are happy with that. We're doing okay here whilst so many of the 'great' countries are battling like hell to stay afloat.

You are obviously bitter about something, so do what you need to do.

We'll see how he does if he manages to form a government. I did not think he had a chance in this election, but fair play to him, he's done very well and impressed a lot of us down here and brought his party back from the brink. I reckon we should give him a chance.

KRudd/Gillard had their chance and they blew it.

Obviously bitter? How so? Because I disagree with your hate-filled right-wing vitriol? Because I care about what has become of my home country?

I'm sure you work with good engineers, I'm talking about the top of the heap, the people who are truly the top of their field. Australia struggles to keep people like that on their shores. Why do you think that is?

Why would they when there are far better places in the world for the worlds greatest minds and entrepreneurs to flourish? If anything they would be suffocated in Oz.

Agree or disagree with my viewpoint, I really, really couldn't give a shit. I don't give a shit about your opinion either.

The world is a big place. For some the grass is greener or lights brighter in other countries - so they move there. Other people like what Australia has to offer and move here. Where's the problem with that?

Where are you living?

As I said in a previous post, the vitriol coming from the Lib supporters on this site at late is quite nasty and far outweighs anything I see coming from any other party supporter.

A valiant attempt to bring the thread back on track, it seems despite numerous election slanging match threads this has been hijacked by those that just can't get enough, it's a shame when threads are effectively morphed into offtopic chat rooms.

Can't understand why this was moved out of the migration section (where there might have been relevant responses), just because it has 'election' in the title perhaps????
