How to contact a famous swimmer?
#1
My eldest has just started school and has to do her news each week...
One of the upcoming topics is "research a famous swimmer", and she has done a letter to send to one to ask a few questions and ask for a picture...
anyway, we are not too concerned which swimmer it would be (Steph Rice would be my choice
) but wondered if anyone could suggest how to get the letter to them in the hope they may reply?
We have done a bit of a search, but seem to be struggling for addresses / email to send it to?
Any help or suggestions would be great

Have you looked on here.....

Otherwise, you'll probably need to contact their agent. Did a bit of a search, but didn't have much luck.

We have contacted the Ian Thorpe pool in Sydney to see if they could help as Eamon Sullivan and Libby Trickett both train there apparently... and of course Thorpey himself may wander in from time to time!!
fingers crossed!

You could go local - where are you? The good thing about swimmers is that they are all over the country and the chances are there will be one fairly close to you, training in a regular club in which case you can call the coach and see if you could have a chat with them, get the pictures taken etc. Alternatively, if you have time (how long have you got?) chances are there may be a competition in your area soon-ish and some of the big names swim in quite ordinary carnivals. Of course, Canberra has the AIS so we have loads of them here and see them often but that probably isnt much help to you!

I have contacted a pool in Sydney (we are fairly central there) so may have some luck...
Failing that, we are up in Canberra over Easter - may have to find out from you all the best places to hang out!
