Houses where you live (Photos)
I like looking at different architecture from Australia and around the world so would enjoy looking at some house styles where you live (flash and/or normal houses).
Here's some different styles from inner Brisbane for those who are interested:

My wife would adore the first house. And I could hide from the children in something that big.

Many of the older houses are the 'shack' type. Most of the stuff built in the last 30 years or so is brick and concrete.
This is a pretty typical first time home for the Illawarra.

Not grand, not a palace, no sea views, no air con but surrounded by over 3 acres.

We're keeping all of them
BTW, rather than just post grand houses wanted to show a variety of styles including simple cottages. I think it might interest those moving to various bits of Australia to see the different styles available which as well as changing city to city can vary a lot as you move around within a city.
Very interested in Perth houses as I have only ever seen Peppermint Grove style mansions or outer suburban new builds with lots of colourbond fences. What is in between?

They do serve their purpose though. Often great little inner city rentals for single people in great locations or young couples. Often have nice covered decks out the back to really extend the living space. Perched in hilly paddington they make great fillers on the streetscape. When you have lots of them very close to the street cheek by jowl with people on the front decks it does really add to the sense of inner city urban life - I quite like them.
