I have no problems with licenced and regulated firearm ownership, but stupidity like Open Carry in the US is ridiculous. And there's no real reason why average joes need fully and semi automatic weapons.

The word on the street is that he was armed with a double barreled shotgun - It will be interesting to see the coroners report on where the fatal hostage shots came from, as the maths of this don't seem to add up to me.
