Default Holden Commodore SV6

Hey All

Just wondering if any of you lovely people drive one of these?

And if so what do you think of them? I am in two minds which to get one off them or a toyota aurion.

Would love to hear from owners off both or people who have driven both.

Thanks Paddy

Toyota will always get the thumbs up over here Paddy, you may pay a little bit more but reliability is a lot better.

The Aurion everytime. Much better resale value. Or the falcon XR6 / XR8. I had one of those and regret selling it now. Both the Holden and Falcon have had second hand prices slashed recently by a lot though. So the Aurion wins in terms of an investment.

But then I just don't like the Holden build quality and it my local dealer, although big, its a bit like walking into a flea market...

There's a reason General Motors are bankrupt.

Ain't that the truth. Look at the manufacturers who are still doing (relatively) well - VW, Toyota, Nissan, Hyundai plus others. They are selling cars that people want to drive, at the right price.

It's not rocket science.

errrr.... as much as I agree with your choice of Toyota over Holden, Toyota have posted the biggest loss of all of the motor companies in the world. Nissan are only in business because Renault pulled them out of the proverbial in 99'. At the time the CEO reckoned they were 2 weeks from going under

Biggest loss is as much a matter of success as it is failure. You have to be earning a lot of money to post big losses.

Fair enough - should have checked first before posting. Toyota might be losing money but i reckon it's not as much as GM or Chrsyler! GM have gone bankrupt (planned I know) despite getting over $20b from the US government.

yes, but they only got that money from the US Govt because they went bankrupt (ie: it was a condition for taking the money)

I don't disagree with your recommendation but since when have Commodores been American?

It's made by Holden.
Holden is owned by Government (aka General) Motors.
GM is an American company.
