helloo everybody.....
i have just migrated to melbourne on a PR visa....i was just wondering if i could join high school now as the session has already started....i have cleared my o levels which is i guess equalient to grade 10 or 11.Secondly i was advised to do an accounting tafe course ....is tafe better or high school...if i can get admission in some high school which one if them has a good repo.... .i live in laverton south melbourne.
any help would be really appreciated =)

Yes, you can start high school now, even though the school year has started. You can opt for TAFE instead if you are looking to go into a trade. A lot of students choose to go on to TAFE. It really depends on what you would like to do with your life.

Kids here seem to travel quite a long way for school.

There are (as you probably know) State and Private schools. A couple have been recommended to me for my daughter and the ones with the best reputations seem to be:

Bacchus Marsh and Geelong Grammar both private schools.
