You could move to Russia. I hear they get pretty good white Christmases.

We were there for the UK snow, last year, it started walking home from sons 16th birthday party and 3 weeks later was still white, as we moved around the UK it seemed to follow us We even stood under big ben as one fall started visiting London, picture postcard stuff. Totally loved it, gave christmas so much Character.

Not going till February this year, pity it was a fab christmas/new year.

What's wrong with snow?

It's cold and unpleasant unless you're looking at it in pristine condition or able to get out and play in it for a short while.

...as opposed to wet, humid and unpleasant?

Horses for courses. Don't mind wet, haven't felt oppressively humid in five years and the climate is perfect for me.

I'm off to Oslo next week for a long weekend...average daily temp at the moment is around -8C so no doubt there'll be tons of snow too. Yay!*

*one constantly wonders at the decision to move to Australia and not Norway as I'm a far bigger fan of the cold than the heat. Ho hum.
