A MAN whose marriage failed six years after he emigrated to Australia from Britain is looking to make a clean break by putting his entire life up for auction on the internet.
Ian Usher, 44, is offering his three-bedroom Wellard home, his car and job on auction website eBay after his five-year marriage to wife Laura ended last year.
“I am selling everything lock, stock and barrel, from the contents of my wardrobe to my kettle, and from my cutlery to my car,” Usher told a local newspaper near his former home in north-east England.
Mr Usher, who is originally from Darlington in northeast England and emigrated from nearby Scarborough six years ago, became an Australian citizen in 2006.

Re: Heartbroken Brit sells Aussie life on eBay
A Briton living in Australia has agreed a bid of more than £192,000 after putting his "entire life" up for sale following a split from his wife.
Ian Usher, 44, who left Darlington six years ago, included his house, car, job and friends in the online eBay auction, in an effort to make a fresh start.
The lot attracted a peak offer of 399,300 Australian dollars (£192,276) when bids closed early on Sunday.
Despite expecting higher bids, Mr Usher said he had "no regrets".
Someone's got a bargain, but it wasn't him.
