You know how someone always says there is someone worse off than you!! I am having such a really CRAP week!!

What Happened on Monday:

1) 8am Phone call a really good friend of ours has just passed away!! Been like a second dad to my OH for over 20 years!! All devastated!!
2) Then Screen Door on the back door, fell off runner broken wont go back on need whole new door!
3) Waste disposal Unit makes a funny noise and then dies
4) I pull into the garage in Nissan Patrol and drive OVER the table tennis tabe legs, now buggered!!
5) Take cover off pool to have a refreshing dip, its gone a funny colour something happened to pump!

Ok so this morning (Tuesday) I am thinking to myself its cool, today will be a better day!!

1) Go to take kids to school, hit the remote garage door button, jump in car into reverse, as is done EVERY morning and a horrible screeeeching noise, brake jump out, the garage door must of got jammed and I have hit it BIG time and scrapped all the paint off the back doors of the car and the roof!!
2) Ring insurance company to be told, might not be covered!!
3) Ring Garage Door company to be told cant get someone out till bloody Friday and would take 5-6 weeks for a new door anyway
4) Come back inside having just picked post out of the post box and got a bloody speeding fine for $198 for doing 58 in a 50, when I really thought that road was a 60 limit!! So who knows how many more will come through now!!

So you could say two things one put it all into prespective, we lost our good mate yesterday and therefore none of the rest matters, and you could also say sell the bloody car it is jinxed!!

But if I manage to live past 4.15pm today when my husband will be home from work and see the garage door and the speeding fine when he will probably kill me there and then, I just hope and might even find it in me to pray that tomorrow will be a better day!!

Yes sure it looks quite funny from a distance but believe me its not quite so funny when you are actually living it!!

very sorry to hear about your friend, that's the real crap thing about being so far away.

As far as speeding fines go, we've not notified the licensing authorities of our change of address yet, been in the new house nearly 4 months now. There could be a lot of fines at our rental....too afraid to check.

Poor thing, somethings just never go right.

Not long ago my garage door decided to collapse on me. I was just about to pick the kids up from school, hit the button to open the garage and it opened half way then fell lop-sided as i was about to pull out
The cables had broken. I couldn't get out.
Had to get a friend to bring the kids back. And it cost me alot of money to get it fixed.

No how you are feeling ! we lost a good friend of ours in the UK last Monday, his funeral is tomorrow. Just makes you realise how far away you are sometimes

I dont even want to say that!! Because I just cant temp fate any more than necessary not this week!! Have had to crack open a large bottle of wine and it is only Tuesday but it is sliding down nicely and the HUGE bowing dented garage door doesnt look as bad now!!

Sorry to hear about your friend, its horrible when you are so far away.

Anyway 5 chunky kitkats brought back from the UK should make you feel a bit beter, come and pick em up when you can get out of the garage
