Nope, have nothing of value worth leaving anyone! If the husband and I go together my family and friends can pick over my crap and take what they like

There are a few other things beside a will that may be worthwhile thinking about:
A living will - the way that you want to be treated by the medical staff if you are seriously and probably terminally ill, this is not yet covered by NSW legislation but the following one seems to accepted by most hospitals and doctors:
http://www.doyourproxy.org/livingwill1.php - you don't need a solicitor for this, just fill it out and keep it in a safe place known to your relatives/carers.
Enduring Power of Attorney - you can get this form from most decent stationery shops, might even be able to download it from the net. Fill it in but don't sign it yet, make an appointment at your local Magistrate's Court, they can witness it for you.
Guardianship - this appoints someone to look after you if you become incapable of caring for yourself and making decisions. The Public Trustee of NSW or whatever state will handle this one for you, usually free, they also provide free wills provided that you appoint them as trustee, they have a lot of powers that enable speedy completion of your will once you go.

Cheers for this. I've just done my UK will, I'm assuming its perfectly legal to have a UK and Australian will as many people seem to have done this once they've moved here. Just a little concerned with the 'revokes all previous wills' in their sample will and whether it now knocks out the UK will I have just done. Info will still be the same, I believe I'd need to have 2 wills so each one covers the assets in that country?

But perhaps a legal eagle will come along and confirm this.
Do we have any BE legal eagles?
We've got a surplus of property experts, but legal gurus are thin on the ground.
