.........entered the draw to win tickets to be on the first train from Mandurah on December 23rd?

I've entered for the whole family but don't hold out much chance. Exciting though, innit?
Oh..... and speaking of WA and excitement (I know - two words not closely associated very often), I thought I would post a photo of Santa arriving at Harvey Norman (obviously to buy his Xmas electricals) by helicopter on Sunday. He does this every year - our third time of being there to greet him
Yeay - go WA!

YOU SOUTHERNERS ARE STEALING OUR TRAINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On a serious note, I can not believe that stup!d air head project manager (can't remember her name) didn't order enough trains for that line. And worse still, it's gonna be another 12 months of being packed on like cattle, until the new ones arrive.

I am looking forward to the new line opening, it'll mean we can drive to Mandurah and then just train it rather than driving the entire way, having to worry about parking, etc. etc.

I can get free parking in the city with work so I might start driving in. Is that what you planned Ms McTiernan?

I'm thoroughly looking forward to the Burns Beach, Jindalee, Yanchep, Somerly and other developments which will significantly increase comuter traffic on the northern line.

Oh dear, starting to sound like a whinging Pom.
p.s. Hey, Mrs Bird, tell hubby I'll buy a helmet and he can pick me up every morning.

Last night 3 trains in a row at about 4.30pm only went as far as Whitfords so there were loads of us waiting in Perth for a Clarkson train. Then when it got to Whitfords hundreds (literally) of people piled on to complete their journey and the train was packed. At Currambine a couple of hundred of us got off and had to queue for 5 minutes to tag off because there are only 2 machines (Edgewater is even worse). I nearly crashed the car driving home I was so mad.
