Thanks for that.

I'll go and remind my English wife that she's forgotten it again

The Spitfire in the film provides a nice link to Australia.

That's very inclusive of you.

HAPPY ST GEORGE'S DAY!!!!!!!!

On the menu today - a cup of English breakfast tea, followed by a full English breakfast.

For dinner it has to be Fish, chips and mushy peas, and maybe for supper some Double Gloucester on toast, followed by a few bottles/cans of Old Speckled Hen and Tetley's!

Whilst wearing an England shirt of course...

Where he may have come from is irrelevant. It's England's chosen national day, simple as that.

Fortunately, we don't have to celebrate an independence day or a liberation day for our national day (which should be a national holiday by the way) unlike some other countries.

While we're at it, it's time to get rid of 'God save the queen' as well, because this is a BRITISH anthem, not an ENGLISH anthem. The Scots and the Welsh have their own national anthem, so why should the English be denied one? Double standards at work.....???

Jerusalem would be fine by me.

Land of Hope and Glory was the closest thing England had to a national anthem but then the Tories nicked it.

It comes from a William Blake poem. Jerusalem is used as a metaphor for heaven.
