Let's not forget that this is a complete myth, constantly perpetuated by ignorant people who've never bothered to check the facts for themselves.

Both men were released on license, which involves constant monitoring by the British police. There is no way in hell they could have been relocated overseas under those conditions. Never mind the fact that the British government has no power to do this in the first place.
