Exclamation Had a Quote for Shipping Dog, THUD!........

..........and have just come around.

£1970.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes, £1970.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

to ship a useless ****ing mutt.

But that isn't all. After the additional costs of chipping, vaccinations, pick up charge and quarantene fees, we're looking at over £2500.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes, £2500.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

May need some lateral thought here to appease the 7 year old.

Any thoughts please??

Yep,

All in all that's we paid for our Dog. Couldn't see another way. The only other person we would have left him with would have been my mum (who adores him) but her house was already full.

Cheers

Tight-wad! Don't know what you're complaining about - it's costing us over £4k to ship three cats! Shop around for quotes but take your dog - he/she is part of the family and it'll help your 7 year old to settle more quickly.

Another sting in the tail (excuse the pun), is that having the bloody thing over there is going to restrict our rental options. And as one our main priorities is catchment areas for good schools for the first six months, it's really got me thinking.

He's a 2 year old border collie, and the kids are pretty attached to him, but I just can not believe the expense and potential restirctions taking him is going to cause.

The funniest claim in some of these shipping companies' literature, is that they tailor make the crates. Never heard so much crap in all my life. There are only three or four main sizes of dog for ****'s sake.

£2500.00 and cutting our choice of rentals by more than 50%, is a big price for a hound.

Anyone know how much border collie pups are in W.A?

Since you are already calling it's this 'bloody thing' the love is gone my friend. Tell the kids Pickfords forgot to put the bloody thing in the van and you will buy them a nicer, shinier, newer puppy when you get there!
