Brainwave!!!!!!!!!!
Get yourself down to Bunnings and have them cut you a length of 2 x 4. Router off the edges on the top. Go to Spotlight buy a long length of thick foam and a long strip of suedey (is there such a word?) material in a colour she'd love. Go home and get gluing and stapling.
Sorted.
Off to school pick up now. My work here is done.
