Grumble

I's late morning in London and it's so gloomy outside that we need to switch the lights on

Just like the last 12 days then. ;)

I'm glad I don't live in Cumbria! They're having a torrid time there. :(

It was about 28 degrees here with clear blue skies and the sound of laughter coming from the pool. Is that what was meant by virtual sunshine ?;)

Nope. I came here on holiday, met my wife and never returned. I've never been one to whinge long and hard prior to departure from anywhere. How long have you been planning to return here?

I'm not planning to return for a few years.....I have always made it clear that I am here because I made a committment, a long time ago, to one of my sons.

I intend to honour that committment (although such a concept may seem strange to many on here).

If you read my posts they tend not to be whinges but piss takes about Australians, Australia and the Australian 'dream'.

I have a very comfortable life here.....but then I did in England.

I will return to the UK to retire...comfortably.
