Default Groups for parent

My Dad may be joining us when we move to Australia. I was wondering are there any groups he can join to make friends and socialise. He is in his 80's.
Thanks for any advice.

MartinLuther is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Re: Groups for parent

One possibility http://www.mensheds.com.au/

Another is the RSL. I think he can become a full member if he has been in the army or an associate if he hasn't.

Probus is another possibility.
