Yes, have read most of the Cato ones and another one, Young bloods. Very good read.
The Mists of Avalon, by Marian Zimmer Bradley is the best ever telling of the Arthurian legend and a fantastic novel.

The movie is rarely as good as the book.

Stephen King's "Misery" is one exception.

I remember reading Misery one weekend at my sister's cottage. The book was so much scarier than the movie IMO.

Stephen King at his best. A seriously good book and movie.

I love reading and will read just about anything, but my favourites are "The Sweet Hereafter" by Russell Banks; a book written about a school bus crash told from the perspectives of 4 different people who's lives were affected by the crash, "The Cider House Rules" by John Irving; another movie just as good as the book, and "A Collection of Short Stories" by D W M - my father.

These have probably all been mentioned already, but I don't care :)

Can't really name individual books, but these are all authors I read avidly.

Stephen King
Terry Pratchett
Robert Rankin
Ian Rankin
Christopher Brookmyer
Nicci French
Marian Keyes (got to get me chick lit in)
Lee Child
Peter James (particularly his crime books)
Jeffrey Deaver
Tess Gerritson (but only the recent ones, not the crappy 'romance' ones her previous publisher is insisting on re-releasing)
Karin Slaughter
Michael Connelly
John Connelly
Jonathan Kellerman
Tom Holt
Neil Gaiman

I've probably missed loads of my favourites out!

If you like to read about ancient Egypt then Paul Dohertys trilogy about Akunaten is excellent (starts with Evil Spirit out of the West I think) love his books. If you are looking for a good aussie true story then Diamonds and Dust by Sheryl McCrory is a good read - about her becoming a cattle queen in the outback. I also like anything by David Gemmill - his last books written before he died were a trilogy on Troy - great stuff.
