Re: Good book
I'm halfway through Fever of the bone by Val McDermid. It's brilliant (as all her books are ).
For those who haven't read her - she is a brilliant thriller writer who wrote TV's wire in the blood. |

Re: Good book
I have ben reading about some about Australian drovers
hell west and crooked by Tom Cole and Goldie by Bill 'swampy' Marsh both are good short books with interesting stories for a bigger read shantaram about India's slums and an Australian escaped convicts life in Bombay this is also a true story. I love shantaram but the sheer size of the book can be daunting. Anne Rices vampire books are excellent and Dean Koontzs books by the light of the moon and from the corner of his eye are lovely. Bernard Cornwells new book the lords of the north is good as is the sequel to pillars of the earth world without end by ken follet host is a brillint book by stephanie meyer far better than the twilight books I thought. I am a bookworm and a fast reader the book depository is good as is the local second hand bookshop but I do miss cheap books from play.com |
Re: Good book
"Any Old Eleven" - Jim Young
It's about park cricketers in Oz (true stories) ... an acquired taste, obviously, but very keenly observed, I'm enjoying it muchly. |
Re: Good book
Reading Dean Koontz 'Ironheart' just now and thoroughly enjoying
