What like an orange jumpsuit?

Black clothes would be an insult to black people who don't want to wear ghetto clothes...Jeremy Guscott doesn't look like he comes from Harlem

I wore a blue and white shirt to a bush dance....my family are very much serving class..but you'd probably call it public service...lol..

Are Golliwogs anymore relevant to black people than Barbie is to white women?

Both gross charactures....

Personally I'd rather see Barbie banned.

Absolutely. Personally I have never equated a gollywog to a person, it's a cuddly toy.

How about these two - are they racists in nature?

The gay one, in the second photo, is wearing too much makeup.

More of a crime than the existence of the doll imo.

The Michael Jackson golliwog on the right is frankly in very poor taste

Stare into the eyes of the girl in the first pic. It's kind of scary.

That's quite strange to hear that, usually when you hear the term "wog" in Australia it refers to someone from the Mediterranean, still a derogatory term non the less.
It's also used for cold/flu symptoms in these parts, as in "she's got the wog".
Never heard it used for Aboriginals, must be an FNQ colloquial thing.

Strange. I live in Brisbane and the only place I have noticed them being sold over the years is in the Melbourne CBD. One of the story comments say they are being sold in a "cheap shop" in Sydney too so maybe some pound shop owner has bought a job lot and flogging them in the tourist shops. The store in Melbourne was a fancy store though that specialised in them.

Weird, in 40+ years in Brisbane I've never heard an Aboriginal called a wog.
