Flying to Copenhagen on a wunkfest doesn’t help the environment.

To be honest I am sick to death of people telling me how I should live my life, and activists of all types.

I have rights too. I am not prepared to stay silent when i see a pile of crap and rubbish presented as “science”.

I am curious which way Slapphead_otool voted, given that he actually seems to supports neither side, just disagrees with the way it is argued.

In my opinion, it doesn't really matter which way any of us voted, because we are all unqualified to comment on the issue. Unless Tim Flannery is a secret BE member.

Surely the sceptics are activists too? Are you fed up of them?

If you want to protect the environment then promote the castration of all people with two children.

I might remind you i don’t have a car (and haven’t had since 1999), don’t drive (no licence since 2007) don’t have kids and my aircon doesn’t work.

I pay a staggering amount of tax each year, and get stuff all for my money.
Compare this to the average greenie with a combi van, 6 kids, and living on the dole.

If you want to protect the environment kill a greenie. Dammit - I will help you!!

I consider myself a 'greenie'. I have no car, no kids, no aircon and a well paid full time job (and yes I also have to pay tax).

I have never been to Byron Bay and am not too keen on the idea of castration though.

I think your generalisations are somewhat outdated.

If I'm doing a PhD in this area can I be officially seen as qualified to comment?

Why bother with Byron Bay when Nimbin is just up the road!

Go for it. Which way did you vote?

If I'm doing a TAFE evening class foundation course in this area can I be officially seen as qualified to comment?

Yeah, what is the cut-off point of being an expert? If I have emitted several tonnes of carbon into the atmosphere in my lifetime (let's call it a scientific experiment) can I comment on this debate?

PS - couldn't vote as the voting had closed by the time I noticed this thread

One vote never makes any difference anyway. It looks like the deniers and flat earthers have it!

Perhaps it's time to do another poll.....

I'm curious to see if any of the latest developments have changed public opinion.

Good luck: I started this thread but BE wouldn't let me attach a poll, and Polly had to intervene to set it up!

That would make you more qualified than people like Lord Monkton, wouldn't it?
