Question Gift Ideas to send to uk.

Does anybody know of any websites where i can buy a present for my mum in the uk, and it will be sent directly, I know I could send flowers but wanted to look what else there was on offer with other websites.. Is it possible to buy gift vouchers for uk stores but pay with ozzie dollars....Any info you be great.

Thanks

Hi Hazel
I just went on a UK site and have had a teddy bear sent to my Mum for Mothers day, it comes with a t-shirt and I was able to have a photo on the back and one on the front with wording on both. Mum loves teddies and had pictures of our sons on the teddys t-shirt. It was £17 all in. By the time I buy something here and have it posted costs around the same.

How about finding your best photographs of you/family/kids and using Nero/windows movie maker to make a DVD/CD rom.

You could put music/captions to it and end it with a nice message for her. Or if you are good with computers and have a camcorder, you could record a family message at the end.

Design your own DVD cover to go in a hard back DVD holder.

I did that for my Mum and she loved it and enjoyed looking at the pics on TV.

Sometimes (time permitting), hand made gifts can be the nicest.

Hi Hazel
Not quite what you are looking for.... but might be of interest? We have just been busy getting Mothers Day presents organised.

I got this idea from a fellow BE member at Christmas. It's at www.photobox.co.uk
Basically you upload some digital photographs, then arrange them into a 'Stylebook' which will be delivered to the address of your choice.

It does take a bit of organising, but the finished product we hope should look good with a storybook of our life in Oz.

Failing that, checkout www.tesco.com where they will deliver anything for £5.00. :-)

I can recommend voucher express, I've used them for years.

I've also used the cadbury gifts direct site to send chocolates to family members, and I also use them every year to send Easter eggs to my nephew and niece.

Hope the above is useful.

How about M&S, Next or John Lewis? All should do something for you
