Be mercifully that we are not lizards. There are loads of videos on the net about camel spiders. Some good military web site with some scary (but maybe made up) stories too.

When my dad was in the army...years ago...his mate was killed by a camel spider..it injects some sort of anesthetic into you to numb the area and then it munches away...they can jump prigging high cos have to latch on to the belly of a camel..hence the name!!! nasty bastards they are.
