Hm, sometimes it takes court ordered treatment to get someone to admit they need counselling. Robert Downey Jr springs to mind.
Either way, I like George Michael. Anyways, he smokes a bit of weed - big ****ing deal, it's not as if he has hurt anyone. |
Re: George Michael jailed.
Let's face it he'll have the time of his life where he's going, he was originally sentenced to 4 weeks but he argued em up.
On a serious note though, it might have only been a bit of weed, but don't forget he's been sent down for driving under the influence of it. I bet people wouldn't be so flippant if he'd run over a kiddy, the bloke's done some cracking music but he's a public menace |

No not yet but it would be a real shame if he crashes his car under the influence and takes a life, right? Or kills a child? Crushes some poor person in between his car and a wall... person who's got kids and a life and a job.. Runs some child over and devastates their parents lives forever? That would be a big ****ing deal, right? I've got no problem with people smoking their dope at home, but it's when they get in a car and drive under the influence. Same as drunk driving... but you probably don't say 'Big ****ing deal.. he drinks a bottle of wine before he gets into his car, it's not like he's hurt anyone'.... Apparently, when he hit the shop, someone spray painted the word 'WHAM' onto it. |

Hurting someone is a different thing altogether, but I hear ya. :) |

He's bloody lucky he didn't hurt anyone. He could do. Anyone that takes a chance with other people's lives needs their head read. I love his music but he's being an arse. How old is he again? 18? Needs to grow up.

Normally I would agree, however he doesn't want counselling - he's said that many times.
Sometimes people have to hit rock bottom before they face up and make changes: I don't think GM is there yet.

Either way, I like George Michael. Just wish he'd realise that his best work came from a clear head but it's his life. Wish even more he'd come up to Brissie for a concert earlier in the year, would love to have seen him again. |

Stupid thing to do and he has got away with it for too long now, I agree that smoking pot is fine if no one else is getting hurt, but driving whilst under the influence is not a good idea, we all know it slows down your reactions and probably the worst thing to do whilst stoned is to drive.
Money doesn't buy you everything. Hope he learns from it. Someone should show him this: http://www.metacafe.com/watch/yt-az1...nsafe_driving/ |

Sounds like he's perfectly comfortable with his lifestyle. Its others who judge him.
He is an extremely talented singer - I love his voice and romantic songs - I hope he gets the counselling he needs before its too late. Not offering counselling to someone they have thrown in ail is not at all helpful. His issues are "social problem" not criminal problems.... |

Re: George Michael jailed.
Read in paper a couple of months ago that he had bought a house in Whale Beach Rd (not a cheap place to buy a house), near Palm Beach, Northern Beaches, Sydney and was going to live here for 6 months of the year as he fell in love with the place when he was renting while out here during Mardi Gras.
