It's back and we watched the 1st episode last night.
Very good it was too.

Have not seen either of those (only so much TV that you can watch!) but will have a look.

I watched the whole series 1 on the flight back to Oz. Thought it most enjoyable and raunchy. Sean Bean hasn't aged well however considering he was my first crush.
I can't seem to find Game of Thrones in I-store. Am I being a moron? Love the link if anyone finds it.

I just assumed that since you hadn't already watched 1 & 2 you were behind the times.
No idea if its available for those that wish to give zombie Jobs loads of money. Its HBO, so maybe they avoid itunes? The Blu-Rays of series 1 are available and worth the money I'd say (provided we aren't talk aussie prices).

It's funny, I had recorded all of Season 1 when it was first on, then never got around to watching it until this past Feb.
Hubby and I watched all the episodes over a week...The critics seem to like it. I started on the books and have noticed that the shows are very faithful to the original storyline and characters. A lot of adaptations seem to veer wildly off from the author's original work, but not so with Game of Thrones, so far anyway.
Yeah, poor old Sharpie. He does look older than 52. Maybe being married four times wore him out. I read that he laughed with delight when he saw the posters for Season 2 with Ned's head on a spike. He's not even in it any longer, but still in the promo material.
