Come and meet me and my homies...
"VOLUNTEER firefighters will hold a sausage sizzle in Joondalup on Saturday, January 24 to raise funds for defibrillators.
Wanneroo Central Bush Fire Brigade treasurer Shane Sheely said trucks and volunteers would be at Bunnings on Joondalup Drive from 9am to 3pm."

Why is it necessary for volunteers, who were among those who spent 10,000 hours fighting the recent Bullsbrook fires, to give up their time to raise money for something like this? Surely defibrillators should be provided by the City of Wanneroo.

There does have to be a line that needs drawing sometimes, defibrillators are not standard issue equipment and neither are air pumps for inflating our tyres after we've been driving on soft ground, these are up next on our shopping list.

How'd it go Renth, did you make enough to buy a defib unit?

Hi Cresta57 it went very well thank you, in addition to the money collected (which will be sufficient for the defibs) it was a great opportunity for PR.
Lots of youngsters sitting in my driver's seat with my helmet on, switching on the beacons, that kind of stuff. I love it, it's great fun...
