friggin Beaurepaires!!!!

Just had 4 new tyres put on my swift...$210 each (18 inch low profile mags).....had it done yesterday....thought I'd check my tyre pressure as they felt a little 'spongy'....tyre pressure ok, but then I notice they've taken my cool dust caps!! Mine were chunky cool ones and they've replaced them with cheap shitty ones. So I go back there today to ask for mine back to be told it's 'standard policy' to throw them away and put new ones on. I told the bloke didn't he think it would be a good idea to ask me first as they were 'unusual' ones...but all he kept saying was it was normal to replace...grr. He then offered me some better ones....but they were still crappy ones.. Now he's saying he'll 'try' to get me some to replace the ones I've lost from his rep. Methinks he's just bullshitting me an won't do ***** all. I think he thought 'oh yea...she's a woman...she won't even notice they've gone'

Am I overreacting????

No - there's no excuse for bad manners and rudeness.

Stay on his case until he gets you what you want ........ even if it just to get rid of you!

The truth is they probably took them home for themselves. I would demand replacements the same as what was taken off.

Was std policy pointed out to you? if not its not a std policy.

What complete bowlocks. He's obviously had them away for his car. Hope he gives them back or replaces them with like.

thing is I have no photographic proof of what was there originally...but when I quizzed him he had such a guilty look...and no, this 'policy' wasn't pointed out to me....

He's been caught out. Normally they would reckon on you not noticing for months. Keep up the harrassment daily. He'll give them back in the end, not worth the hassle ;)

I hate garage service. The men seem to think us woman are push overs. I had 2 new front tyres replaced last week. I was quoted $380 each at first. No-way was i going to pay that. Shopped around and got the tyres done for $250 each (Territory).
The first quote for $380 the guy was trying to say to me i would no-way on this earth get them any cheaper!! Knob.

Don't give up on asking for your dust caps back. He stole them.

Should have taken them off before car went in, I always do for this very reason!

the point here is MM is that I have spent a lot of money & this t*sser thinks he can just take advantage....perhaps you are ok with ppl taking advantage at another's expense?

It's the principle of the thing here. Even if it's a $2 item, the fact is they took something that belonged to you and 'threw it out' without your permission. Good luck getting your thingies back. Persevere and don't let them get away with taking something that clearly doesn't belong to them.

Last time I took my car to Automasters they picked up all the petrol recipts off the floor and stacked them ever so neatly on my passenger seat so they could vaccuum. :D
