Default Freesolar - QLD

Anyone on here register with these guys, or the other company, featured on Current Affair?

The deal was for a 1Kw Solar Panel System, essentially free, with government rebates.

Got the link for that?

Although the ALP changed the rules so if you earn over a given amount you don't get the rebate.

So much be being green

Yes, It was marketed as a kind of raffle...one in five chance of winning a heavily subsidised solar panel (if you met the criteria....not renting, suitable style property, earning under the limit etc....)

We are getting one installed in the next few months...cost is around $185

The panel is for generating electricity as opposed to solar hotwater.

There's been a few things like this....they seem too good to be true, what's the catch? ect.....but turns out they're all perfectly legit

Sounds like you went for the EcoKinetics one. We went for the FreeSolar one, and haven't been able to hear a dicky bird from them since we put down our deposit ($1500!). Thought it was legit as it was aired on Channel Nine's Extra program, but they've called me (Nine, that is, as i emailed them) to say that they've had complaints from others for the same reason.

So, be careful when considering FreeSolar.

Not saying that they're crooks, as they might be just overwhelmed by the amount of interest generated, but i'm uneasy.....

Hello Urno

Did you actually register online for the 1kW system and pay the required deposit? Or were you one of the 2500 phone calls that tried to get through in the first week?

If you are still interested in a system, please let me know.

Call the office on (07) 3822 7862 9:00am to 5:00pm weekdays.

Kind regards
Craig Balmanno
