anyone else naffed off with the constant repeats from previous seasons and repeats during the day of these same repeats
not only are there repeats but the fees have gone up as well and to cap it all they're asking newbies to join and get a free mini Ipad
what about loyal existing customers? shouldn't we get a reduction in fees for watching the lousy crappy repeats every single day and paying MORE for the priveledge
robin barstewards
Is there any alternative?

Online. I haven't watched anything on tv for 3 years.

I rang up to cancel last month and they gave me a deal, about $45 instead of $77 or something like that, for 6 months. I usually try to get deals like this from them and have been successful in doing so for the last few years.
Having said that, even at $45 I still think it's diabolical value for money especially as you still have to watch adverts.
I'm watching a lot of Netflix & Hulu these days, much better value for money, less than $10 a month for each, plus $5/month for unblock-us.
I download a lot of stuff with BBC iPlayer too.
I'll probably end up cancelling Foxtel for real when this deal runs out in October, I hardly watch it and my daughters watch shit like Gypsy Wedding and Dance Moms.

Similar to Renth, you have to threaten to cancel to get a good deal, done it a few times now. I'm paying 50 bucks for 6 months for everything except sport and movies. I'll turn the sport back on when the A league starts again.
I like the box, so having that attached is fairly useful, the alternative is the internet based Fetch TV service at 20 bucks per month, It's a slightly better box than the IQ and a few of Fetch's own channels, some on demand TV and access to 30 movies per month plus hires.... Oh it acts a a media box as well which is pretty useful for streaming movies on your network. I've got Foxtel in the main lounge and Fetch TV in the Kitchen/Living area.
Here's the site... only downful you have to be within the IInet or Optus groups I think.

Binned them two years ago. Toddlers in Tiaras was the straw that broke the camel's back. Utter bilge.

Would like to bin them and just go to on-line, but our broadband speed just isn't quick enough. Trying to watch streamed programmes can be a real pain when it's constantly buffering etc.
Keep having problems with Iplayer too
Don't expect our speed to increase greatly when the NBN rolls out to our area either
