Default Flying to the UK tomorrow night - with chest infection

Just sent the Mrs. to the chemist for one of those masks. My fellow passengers are going to hate me. I'm coughing up lung butter and blood and feel like shit.

Not looking forward to it AT ALL.

Yeah, viral infection. I'll be pissed off if I get told I can't get on the plane in KL.

I have had a persistent cough for the last two weeks. The doctor told me that I just had to ride it out.It is at its worse when I have been sleeping lying down.Hopefully you may not be too bad as you are probably going to sleep sitting up. Bring plenty of tissues and have lots of sick bags to hand.Hope you feel better soon.

They have those machines in KL as well, but I think they're located just before passport control. Take a couple of paracetamols a few hours before you land.

Is it a good idea for you to fly in that condition??

You have picked a bad time to come here - the beautiful, mild spring weather has just turned very cold

My best aussie mate is a trained herbalist and gave me this tip years ago for chest infection. Not a great idea on a flight but who cares about other passengers?Either swallow a whole garlic clove(Not the whole bulb, break one off )with a glass of water or take 2 garlic tablets/capsules every 3-4hrs.It works every time for me,even for chest infections.Might be best to get the tablets.capsules and keep them in your hand luggage. They definately work for me and within 24hrs I'm usually feeling 100% better!Have a great time Renth, and hope all goes well for you xx

Thanks for all the suggestions, I'm actually worse today so the Mrs and kids are flying tonight and I'll catch them up in a few days time.

Thanks for the tip, I'll send my mrs to get some. I tried to change my flight but I wasn't able to understand a word the woman from Malaysian Airlines was saying so have decided to go this evening after all. I'll probably die on the plane, but I don't care anymore.

I think you've made a wise decision. I hope you get well soon

Edit: Oops, I see you're going after all. Hopefully your medicine will "kick in" soon.
