Re: Flying
If I am ever on a plane with you I shall yell "GO GO GO" at some random point just to see what you do!

Re: Flying
That ground training seems to condition your body that's all.
The worst thing I have done is forgotten to turn my feet off for a forward drift landing and fallen flat on my face...

Re: Flying
I've often wished I could jump out of an aircraft when seated near unruly kids, or parents changing nappies on the their table when people are eating either side of them (yes, I've seen it...) but leaping out for any other reason seems bizarre.....

Re: Flying
As they say, why jump out of a perfectly serviceable aircraft?

Re: Flying
I must admit I get a little nervous on the take off and landings as, if anything is likely to happen, this is more than likely when it will, but once the aircraft has levelled off and reached cruising altitude, I absolutely love it.

OK, but can you explain what it is you love? I don't mind it, it serves a purpose but I don't like being cooped up in close proximity to strangers with personal habits, breathing crap air, eating not the best food etc. The first time the experience is interesting but then it's always the same. I just can't imagine what there is to love

I also have a sense of anticipation - if I'm flying to somewhere I love, and I like to enjoy that. If I'm flying the other way (eg back to Brisbane) then I see the flight as an extension of the holiday, something I can enjoy cos I'm not back in that place yet where I really don't want to be!

I love the fact that I am suspended in my own little world, high above the earth - but then I do think for me that's a pilot thing, brings back memories of flying solo, and the whole thrill of being in the air.
