Off topic, but both British and French casualties were higher than the Aussies at Gallipoli. The British fatalities, were I believe, more than double that of the ANZAC forces.

my old man went to the war memorial, and was insulted at the lack of recognition of other nations, even blaming the whole of the Gallipoli cock up on the British. Here in Wollongong there's a war memorial with Aussie and British flags, which is the way it should be IMO, in fact ALL the allied flags should be displayed.

I agree, before I read a little on the subject, I was unaware that anybody else had played anything more than a bit part
in the Gallipoli campaign.
