They do that kind of thing on Kulula, a South African airline. I find it very refreshing, and it gets passengers' attention.

Good job I wasn't at the front as, being scared of flying, I'm normally rocking back and forth with my hands over my eyes and my fingers in my ears, so it would have been wasted on me. Can't see the miserable B's on B.A. doing it either. Seriously though, how cool was he!

I've had a few comedy crew on BA. I remember one captain who made an annoucement about 30 seconds before landing...something like......'cabin crew seats for landing, put the cat out!' then started miaowing over the intercom! It was kind of worrying actually!!

BA have 'challenges'... the flight crew often give the pilot and copilot words or phrases which they have to say to the passengers during announcements .... That was probably one of them.
