My Wife Jane and I are in the initial stages of getting the Emigration thing going. THinking of Brisbane or Gold Coast area.

Don't worry, this isn't a "what do I do" post .

My question is far more personal.

I'm a guitar player (electric). I'd be really grateful if anyone could clue me in on the band/bar/club scene in the part of Australia we're interested in. I do online jamming, but nothing is like playing it live

Anyone have any ideas?

I got's to play my guitar. It keeps me grounded.

My son's got 2 electric guitars, ones a bass, that's about all I know they stay mainly in their cases tho kids!!!!

Damn. Good bass players are like gold dust mate. There must be about 50 guitar players per square yard here.

Near Wigan/Preston England right now. Looking hopefully at east coast Aus though. 12 to 18 months away yet.
