Help!

Want to take roughly £12000 to oz.
Would it be best to get a bankers draft or to use a company such as hi-fix?
I hope this is not a dumb question!!

Why not open an account on-line with one of the major OZ banks,deposit the money via your UK account and when you get to your destination,go into said bank present ID (passport) and activate ! IT IS THAT EASY !The only restriction is that you can deposit as much as you like but cannot transact from it until it has been activated after presenting your proof of ID.

I've always been happy with HiFX and I know on each occasion I've got a better rate than any bank (not least as I got plenty of quotes).

There are other companies too; Ozforex http://www.ozforex.com.au often gets a mention.

We always use Ozforex if we need to transfer money. They are very efficient and the whole process is very straight forward.
