FINALLY...
got a short term contract! 
Went to the interview yesterday and got offered today. Not a fantastic rate or anything but it will tide me over to the new year with the option of staying or leaving if something better comes along next year.
So win win situation.

Doing a motorcycle training course during the week, so couldn't go then. Got the job confirmation by email. Some people work 7 days a week. I'm in I.T. (sadly)
